DRSA100 – Celebrating 100 Years of Service, Comradeship, and Remembrance |
|
In November 2027, the Devonport Returned and Services Association (Inc) will mark a remarkable milestone — 100 years of service to our community. DRSA100 will be a once-in-a-lifetime occasion, honouring the unique role our RSA has held as Devonport’s guardian of Remembrance and service to country. That legacy began in July 1927, when a small group of ex-servicemen and an ex-service nurse met to consider how best to support those who had served. Their vision became the foundation of the Devonport RSA we know today.
It will be both momentous and symbolic: a time to commemorate the fallen, celebrate the comradeship that has sustained our RSA for a century, and look confidently to the future. DRSA100 will feature a month-long programme of events, culminating in a Remembrance Service honouring all veterans, past and present.
